Course Description: TIPS-MAPP is a comprehensive 10 session training program designed to prepare individuals to become effective foster or adoptive parents. It focuses on understanding the needs of children in care, building trauma-informed parenting skills, and fostering partnerships with families and child welfare professionals. Through interactive sessions, participants gain the tools and knowledge needed to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children. Classes take place Wednesday and Saturday for approximately for 5 weeks.
