Note: This class requires you to bring an $18 money order. This is due at the start of the class. You can leave the money order blank and it’ll be filled out in class.

Medication Aide course for individuals initiating or renewing a Nebraska Medication Aide certification. Upon completion of this course level, the individual will be knowledgeable of the 10 competencies and the basic routes outlined on Medication Aide (ne.gov). This level certification allows medication aides to work in settings other than nursing homes, assisted living facilities and intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled.

Psychological Disorders: Diagnoses and Treatment

training will outline the common diagnoses (ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, ASD, DMDD, etc.) in youths including symptoms, criteria to diagnose, co-occurring diagnoses, and treatment and strategies to help diagnosed children. Adverse Childhood Experiences and Resiliency after Trauma

This training will review what ACE’s are and how they came to be, how ACE’s and trauma affect health including short-term and long-term effects, and how to counteract and build resiliency. The trainer will also provide many resources and strategies for purpose of building resiliency and for trauma-informed care after defining what resiliency is, what impacts resiliency, and how it is built. Lastly, the trainer will discuss the potential trauma that foster care can have on children and the importance of preventing future trauma.
